thomas-jefferson-statue“You seem to consider the judges as the ultimate arbiters of all constitutional questions; a very dangerous doctrine indeed, and one which would place us under the despotism of an oligarchy…The Constitution has erected no such single tribunal.”  Thomas Jefferson (1)

President Obama is said to be a ‘unifier,’ one who resembles Abraham Lincoln. However, his policies have divided the nation along racial, economic, religious and moral lines. While Lincoln did everything in his power to preserve the Union, Obama is determined to wreck it.

Along with this ‘division of the house‘, we’re seeing the rise of a more abusive government and an unaccountable bureaucracy.

It’s evident that those in office, whether elected or appointed, have disdain for us.

If citizens vote for something they don’t like they use our money, hastily passed legislation, or the courts to get what they want.

California Governor Jerry Brown and Attorney General Kamala D. Harris (the one Barry went ga-ga over) violated their oath of office by failing to defend Prop 8 leaving millions of California voters, including a large number of Hispanics and blacks who voted in favor of it, disenfranchised.

Obama and Holder did the same with DOMA.

The rule of law is swiftly deteriorating in America by design, while the opposition grows increasingly violent. They refuse to debate the issues and will destroy anyone opposing them.

Let’s take a look at the handiwork of the Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) and what occurred in Washington DC after they pronounced the conservative based Family Research Council (FRC), a hate-group.

Last August, a man who may have been influenced by SPLC ideology entered the lobby of FRC carrying a backpack. After rummaging through it for a few moments, he produced a pistol and before shooting the man behind the desk said; “I don’t like your policies.” Although wounded, the man disarmed the shooter and held him until help arrived.*

Right now, 38 states hold marriage is a union between one man and one woman, while 12 have ‘re-defined’ it through legislation or court-order.” This is a classic case of a ‘house divided,’ people.

Many believe the Left will now work to get same-sex marriage recognized nationally by going through state legislatures. They’re wasting no time and since Thursday’s opinion have used courts and state offices to advance this.

This is going to intensify. What transpired in Madison, Lansing and last week in Austin supports this. Based on his tweet to those who disrupted the lawful proceedings of the Texas House, the president approves of such thuggery.

While the Constitution fails to mention marriage, I believe the Declaration covers it and all other issues. As I’ve stated before, I take the position that the Constitution must be interpreted in light of the principles found in the Declaration.

In the Declaration, the Founders made it clear they were bringing forth nation that would be governed under biblical principles that they referred to as ‘the Laws of Nature and of Natures God‘.

William Blackstone defines this as, “This law of nature…dictated by God Himself, is of course superior in obligation to any other…No human laws are of any validity, if contrary to this…This revealed or divine law…found only in the holy scriptures…are found upon comparison to be really part of the original law of nature.” (2)

Now read Matthew 19:5-6, to see what they meant by this.

There’s a limit, ‘a line in the sand’ if you will, where Americans must take a bold stand as previous generations did, and nobly defend what is right and true.

Samuel Adams, that fiery patriot of the Revolutionary period always has words of wisdom for usadams_samuel_adams_1722_1803_post_cards-r79156fb9dc1446bc805a3dad85314858_vgbaq_8byvr_512 when we find ourselves in such predicaments: “Laws they are not, which the public approbation hath not made so. This seems to be the language of nature and common sense; for if the public are bound to yield obedience to laws to which they cannot give their approbation, they are slaves to those who make such laws and enforce them.(3)

Either we’re going to continue under the rule of law with limited government, or we’ll be controlled by a small group of elitists.

It will benefit our cause greatly if churches were to lose their 501c 3 tax status. With this out of the way, pastors would be free to educate people from a biblical perspective on things that have been pushed aside for far too long.

  1. Deb Says:

“No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate one and love the other, or else he will be loyal to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve both God and mamon.” (Jesus, as spoken in Matthew 6:24)

Any Pastor unwilling to ‘draw and line in the sand’ at this time in our nations HIStory and renounce his 501c 3, has chosen his master.

  2. Kinda Says:

Here, here! I agree! Pastors SHOULD renounce their 501c 3 and depend on God to provide! Isn’t that what we are supposed to do according to the scriptures?
