As we celebrate the nation’s birthday along the 150th anniversary of the historic Battle of Gettysburg, it is only fitting we begin with a few words from President Abe Lincoln; “We here highly resolve that these dead shall not have died in vain-that this nation, under God, shall have a new birth of freedom-and that the government of the people, by the people, for the people, shall not perish from the earth.” (1)
