“Can you call 55 million abortions a holocaust?…Years from now, this is how it’s gonna be looked at. I’m talking about people not yet born or not flavored or touched politically or emotionally by the issue. They’re just not gonna understand it. They’re gonna think… They’re gonna look back at this and say, “What kind of country was this?” and then they’re gonna start searching for reason. “When did it happen? When did the country lose its soul?” Rush Limbaugh (1)
Officials from local and federal law enforcement agencies met with various religious groups in Detroit to discuss ways to stop ‘active shooters.’ I think it’s a waste of time and money.
Ken Hamm writes; “Think about it! The abortion holocaust far surpasses the terrible atrocities of Hitler. Could it be that one of the reasons God is withdrawing the restraining influence of the Holy Spirit in this culture and turning people over to debased things (read Romans 1) is because this nation has brutally murdered around 55 million children?” (2)
Hamm is right on, especially when President Obama makes a statement like this; “As long as we’ve got to fight to make sure women have access to quality, affordable health care, and as long as we’ve got to fight to protect a woman’s right to make her own choices about her own health, I want you to know that you’ve also got a president who’s going to be right there with you, fighting every step of the way,” said Obama. “Thank you, Planned Parenthood. God bless you.”
Scripture and our history confirm God judges nations based on the positions its leadership takes. Obama likes to blame everybody but himself.
Ahab did the same and blamed Elijah for Israel’s problems, but the prophet immediately pushed it back on him (1 Kings 18:17-18).
We need guys like this to call out leadership on the crimes now being committed by Planned Parenthood at tax-payer expense. Trump’s gone after McCain on immigration, while Huckabee and Cruz blasted the president over the “Iranian deal.” I’m not endorsing any for president, but more rhetoric like this is needed and it should come from the church.
Unless God is put back in His rightful place things will get uglier (Psalms 127:1).
Christians have to take “the right ground” in the political arena for God to bless the country (if it’s not too late), then we need to hold it.
I don’t know what the future holds or if God will choose to act in our behalf, but the good thing is we can always ask for help (Hebrews 4:16).
