“But when a long Train of Abuses and Usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object, evinces a Design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their Right, it is their Duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security.” Thomas Jefferson and fifty-five other men who placed their signatures on the bottom of the Declaration of Independence
We like to blame both political parties for the mess we’re in. Many politicians act like royalty, believing they have been divinely appointed to rule over us. While people like Hillary Clinton sold her office to the highest bidder from foreign governments and thugs.
As corrupt as some of these folks are, they’re not to blame. We are.
John Jay, the country’s first Supreme Court justice, made this statement; Providence has given to our people the choice of their rulers, and it is the duty, as well as the privilege and interest of our Christian nation to select and prefer Christians for their rulers.
We no longer have a representative government, but one ruled by gangsters shoving their agendas down our throats.
We really know nothing of those holding or running for office, do we?
The Baby-Boomer generation has lived during the most prosperous times in the nation’s existence, and yet the majority haven’t lifted a finger to protect it for the next generation.
We’ve not been good stewards, but lazy and self-centered.
Two Supreme Court justices, Ginsberg and Kagan, have already officiated at same-sex marriage cermemonies before the Court’s decision on marriage has been handed down. Now having said that, understand the Constitution does not permit the justices to weigh in on such things.
All this has taken place because we’re now being led by a group of elitists who disregard what the law say’s.
Theses two judges should be impeached, but not enough people are paying attention. Most don’t care to get involved, because they think it’s “the end times,” where Christ will return and whisk us away into heaven on board “The Happy Day Express.”
Those paying attention, really don’t know what to do and feel powerless.
Let’s allow John Jay to bring more of his brillant commentary to light;
“Whether our Religion permits Christians to vote for infidel rulers is a question which merits more consideration than it seems yet to have generally received, either from the clergy or the laity. It appears to me that what the prophet said to Jehoshaphat about his attachments to Ahab (‘Shouldest thou help the ungodly and love them that hate the Lord?’ 2 Chron. 19:2) affords a salutary lesson…Public measures may not be a proper subject for the pulpit, yet, in my opinion, it is the right and duty of our pastors to press the observance of all moral and religious duties.” (1)
So, he tells us we need to be educated by the pulpit on things from God’s point of view. After all, His thoughts are recorded in scripture for us to read and study, too.
On another occasion he said:
“No human society has ever been able to maintain both order and freedom, both cohesiveness and liberty apart from the moral precepts of the Christian religion… should our republic ever forget this fundamental precept of governance this great experiment will then be surely doomed.” (2)
“Vice, ignorance, and want of vigilance will be the only enemies able to destroy it. … Every member of the State ought diligently to read and to study the constitution. … By knowing their rights, they will sooner perceive when they are violated, and be the better prepared to defend. … Hence it becomes the common duty … to unite in repressing the licentious … and thereby diffusing the blessings of peace.” (3)
This means you have to take time to study and educate yourself.
Read the next statement slowly, then take time to think through this. “Liberty, equality, fraternity – these are qualities of spirit that a God’s alone to give, and cannot be won by force. But once given, they are man’s to preserve and protect, and defend with his life’s blood, if necessary. This was the concept which began to form in America during the Great Awakening.” (4)
The responsibility for protecting the nation falls on us at this hour and it may cost us – as it did those generations before us.
However, it’s a much better alternative than having tyrants step on out throats.
