“And there arose another generation after them who did not know the LORD, nor yet the work which He had done for Israel.” Judges 2:10
The three debates, one of which was between the VP candidates, generated a flurry of activity on social networking sites.
Like the recent one between Obama and Romney, one could feel the tension when reading a number of the posts.
Even though the president’s “forced” defense of his poor record (especially on Libya) disintegrated before the nation, I found it astonishing that two people who are acquaintances of my family and who have come from fine Christian homes, are voting for Obama. One thought Candy Crowley did such a superb job, one of her posts called for her to be our next president. What universe do these people live in?
The problem, as in the days of the Judges, is that previous generations failed to do a good job instilling our Christian heritage and the truths of scripture into these kids. I’m sure more of them are out there, too.
The fault doesn’t lie with the church or pastors, but at home. Perhaps, their parents did teach them and it just didn’t take root (Matthew 13:3-4,19).
This would be sad, if it wasn’t so frightening.

Still praying hard. I’ve actually turned around a few Obama supporters. Working hard on that. I keep the fact that God is sovereign in my mind and the words from II Chronicles 7:14 in my prayers.
